Good evening. I would like to open this file which is about  NUC.

EDIT:

I have removed your word document and pasted the text below.

Hello from Greece. My name is Nikos. I ask you very much, I would like you to help with a problem that I am facing.

I want a computer on which I will build all the multimedia of my home on it.  I'll see Netflix UHD 4K 7.1, movies, youtube, tdal, spotify, and more.

I have a space problem and I would like it to be as small as possible, so I thought of the NUC solution.

The specifications I would like to have are:

 1. I7, 7h generation processor,

 1. Graphics card that supports 4K and necessary HDR,

 1. Memory Ram 8, or 12gb.

 1. Have two HDMI outputs,

 1. if it is possible to have audio output, coaxial, or Toshlink (optical fiber).

Please help me by sending me a Link, a NUC that meets the above conditions

There is? or would it be better to build a Tower computer to get the best picture and sound?

Thank you very much!

[NUC6i7KYK] - Can't get no persistence w/dual monitors - all windows move to primary monitor after sleep

$

My setup is a NUC6i7KYK with 2x16Gb of DDR4 RAM and a V-NAND SSD 850 EVO M.2 from Samsung. I bought two identical 28" 4K UHD ASUS PB287Q monitors and was immediately disappointed I couldn't daisy chain them using the Display Port. My bad, didn't do my research, nothing to do with the NUC.

So I'm running two identical monitors; main monitor connected using the Mini DisplayPort, secondary connected with HDMI.

My issue: Every time the screens wake up from sleep all my open windows on the secondary monitor have moved to the primary one, and I have to re-arrange all my windows all over again.

What I expect to happen: On wake-up I want my monitors to persist my program windows the way I had them arranged before the monitors shut off.

* I'm running Windows 10 v1709 (OS build 16299.125)

* ASUS doesn't offer display drivers for these monitors, they use the Microsoft Generic PnP Monitor drivers.

* The Intel Iris Graphics Control Panel identifies the main (DPLink) monitor as a Digital Display, the second monitor (HDMI) as a Digital Television.

* BIOS/Firmware/drivers all up to date as per Intel Driver & Support Assistant 3.1.0.12

I'm very happy with the Skull Canyon (my first NUC) and I'd be the first to admit this is a minor issue. But it does get old and I hope that one of you guys can help me out. Fingers crossed!

Best performance Intel NUC6i5SYH (2016) with 4K screen

Dear Friends,

For a few weeks I own a 4K screen connected to this NUC.

It feels slow when performing simple Office tasks.

I realise 4K doubles use of resources.

Are tips and trics known to boost my video-performance?

My configuration:

 • NUC6i5SYH
 • bootdisk Samsung 850 EVO - M2 - 500GB
 • datadisk Seagate Spinpoint M9T, 2TB ST2000LM
 • memory HyperX Impact - DDR4 2133Mhz CL13 SO-DIMM Kit - 16GB HX421S13IBK2/16
 • Bios SYSKLi35.86A.0063
 • OS Windows 10 Pro 64bit
 • Screen Philips Brilliance 328P
 • screen connected with Display Port @60Hz (scaling 175%)

NUC6CAYS Flickering video, artifacts

I get a slight flickering when using my NUC. It is most noticable in the lower half of the screen.

Also, when I have had my TV and receiver turned off for a while, I will 8 of 10 times get artifacts in the picture untill I reboot the NUC. The audio device will also most of the time be disabled.

It looks like:

                                             ___
                              ___

               ___

___

                                             ___

                              ___

               ___

___

Drivers and BIOS are latest as of writing this.

Connected to a Samsung UE55F6515 (2013) through a Sony STR-DH550. Also tried to switch to an inferior HDMI cable.

How do I fix this?

Returning this is no longer a viable option, regrettably.

I have Intel NUC6i5SYH and recently I have updated my Bluetooth driver to version 20 from that time forward my Bluetooth device became unrecognizable by my OS Windows 10 x64, I have opened a support request from Intel, but I want to see if anyone else experienced the same issue.

NUC7I3BNK: Crucial MX300 275GB SATA M.2 SSD not recognized

Bought an Intel NUC7I3BNK and a Crucial MX300 275GB SATA M.2 2280SS SSD.

Although it is listed as compatible at Crucial MX300 Interne SSD 275 GB M.2 2280SS CT9857401 | NUC7i3BNK | Crucial DE  , the SSD is not recognized in the BIOS.

Already updated the BIOS to the latest version 0057. Details from BIOS setup:

- Advanced -> Devices -> SATA : SATA is active. SATA Port shows "[Not Installed]"

- Advanced -> Devices -> PCI : M.2 Slot is active. M.2 Slot shows "Not Populated"

I have no other M.2 SSD available to test if the problem is related to the SSD or to the NUC.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Dirk

Nuc6i7kyk Won't boot with #2 RAM slot used

Hi Everyone,

I'm having some trouble with my Skull Canyon  - if there is any ram installed in the #2 ram slot it won't boot. No boot screen and zero output to monitor. Its possible that it is booting and I'm not getting output to my monitor, however, I've tried letting it sit for a while and forcing a restart and nothing happened. Not sure how else I can test.

I have tried every combination of ram in either slot, and the only configuration that will work is one stick (either one) in slot #1. Both sticks in slot #2 only will not work, and either combination of sticks in both slots will not work.

The power LED lights up (solid), and the fan runs, but I get no signal out to my monitor. I've also tried holding the power butting for 3 seconds to get into the Power Button menu, but It didn't work. I've tried clearing my CMOS and updating the bios to the latest. No dice.

Before I had this issue with slot #2, I had a series of BSODs. BSODs would happen often, even under no load, eventually as regular as a few minutes after booting into windows completely idle.

Ram: 2x G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Laptop Memory Model F4-2133C15S-8GRS

HD: Crucial MX300 M.2 2280 275GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT275MX300SSD4

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi at all,

We need to use Windows 10 x86 on this NUC and i have found all driver but not the graphics driver, we missing only that.

So the question is simple, since only the video drivers are missing to run Windows x86 sooner or later they will come out? or will this model of the NUC always be locked to Windows 10 x64 ?

NUC7i7BNHXG no win 10 boot after bios update

Hoping someone will give me some good idea how to solve issue I have with my new NUC7i7BNHXG, 32GB Optane plus 2TB HD.

So, after bios update to the newest version, windows 10 cannot load any more. I tried to recover with image that I made on external drive, but apparently I cannot recover this way cos there is no any account as administrator set it up. Then I tried windows reset, but it is stuck on 1%.

For me looks like there is something with Optane memory that is cosing this, but I am not sure what.

Settings in bios seems ok, as far I understand it.

Is there any way to recover my dearest NUC in working condition again?

Windows 10 Update fails on Skull Canyon

Hello,

Every time I restart my skull canyon for a windows update (ex from windows insider 17040 to 17046), I get a BSOD on reboot, mentioning a winload.efi file missing.

After turning off and on again, I am back to the current version of windows, without any issue.

I reinstalled the system from scratch and the behavior continues...

Any suggestion?

NUC + Win7 / No Usb3 Drivers / Stuck At Username Screen.

$

I bought a NUC6i3SYH, Samsung 850 ssd and 4gb Kingston Ram. I can get windows 7 installed but i get stuck at the screen to select a username and password, my wireless keyboard and mouse cease to work and also my wired usb keyboard does not work.

Firstly should i use UEFI or Legacy mode for booting my NUC with win7?

I had a thought that i could plug the Samsung ssd from the nuc into my htpc or laptop, get past the username screen, install the Intel usb3 drivers, remove and refit the hard drive to the nuc. Would this method work?

I want to install win7 from my usb2 external drive. I am aware that i need to integrate the usb3 drivers into the windows install files on the usb drive. The Microsoft usb download tool does not recognise my usb drive. Rufus fails too but i read it could be a corrupt iso, i can use Rufus it to just format the drive ok but when i try to copy the image to the usb drive with Rufus it fails. The win7 image i have does have a load of updates integrated so it may well be a problem with the iso.

I got win7 installed by making my usb drive bootable using the command prompt. I disabled UEFI boot mode. I used the Intel usb tool which integrates the usb 3 drivers with your win7 install files on the usb drive. It must work because i installed win7 up to a point but the usb devices stopped working when it comes to the screen to enter a username and password. I found a post on the NUC forum and there is a bit where someone says the Intel usb tool does not work with my model of NUC6.

This link has a very long winded way of integrating the usb3 drivers manually but it is very long winded, a few people seem to think this works Installing Windows 7 on the NUC5CPYH or NUC5PPYH (Braswell NUC)  The NUC Blog

Am using NUC5i3RYK in remote control application.

Have over 100 sites.

Last 10 days have had 3 units drop their ethernet connection.

These units then drop off the network and I have to go to site with keyboard mouse and monitor to correct.

Any thoughts

Bios update on DC53427HYE fails

I'm trying to update my DC53427HYE to BIOS version 49 via the F7 procedure. The updater recognizes my USB drive and the RK0049.bio file on that drive but after confirmation the system immediately reboots instead of starting the update. After the reboot the BIOS Event Log shows the message "Flash Update Failed (21)". Does anyone know the meaning of this error 21?

So my old nuc7i3 quit on me, and the shop is shipping me NUC7i3BNHX1 that I found out comes with optane.

I wanted to just put in my existing ssd, but does it require anything else to work with the optane?
